Every adventure includes personal updates, behavioural modification, treats, toys, play breaks, and transportation to a range of wilderness locations from the bush to the beach. Fully customisable private dog adventures don't just exercise your dog's body but actively engage their mind too. Your dog will be spoiled receiving 100% of my attention during their session, this lets me reinforce obedience cues and shape good behaviour while providing physical and mental enrichment tailored to their specific needs and personal preferences. Individual adventures allow your dog to be a dog, exploring different terrains at their own pace so they can stop and sniff for as long and as often as they like, roll around, dig, swim, run and play till their hearts content!
Each adventure is a step towards a happier, healthier life for your pup! Wilderness adventures improve overall health, providing rich sensory stimulation and a full body workout by engaging different muscle groups than a simple walk and game of fetch. Hiking offers a more challenging workout than walking on flat, even pavement and helps your dog maintain a healthy weight and reduces the risk of associated health conditions by improving muscle tone, core strength, joint mobility, and coordination while preventing the likelihood of future injuries, premature loss of mobility, cardiovascular disease and cognitive decline.
When given the opportunity to explore and sniff, a dog’s powerful olfactory system is stimulated as their nose is directly connected to their brain. Recent research has shown sniffing lowers a dog’s heart rate and naturally reduces cortisol levels, providing instant stress relief for all dogs (especially those prone to anxiety). In addition to actively processing new smells in diverse environments, Dog Gone Wild adventures include varied forms of play and exercise to stimulate both the mind and body. A physically and mentally fulfilled dog is also less likely to exhibit problem behaviours in the home such as nuisance barking, destructive chewing and boredom-induced digging.
By practicing non-aversive behaviour conditioning methods, trust is built and a safe space is created where dogs have an instinctual outlet to just ‘be a dog’ while exploring the world around them. To reinforce good behaviour and prevent dogs from becoming reliant on receiving treats, rewards are also given through enthusiastic praise and motivational play with a variety of engaging toys and play styles. This provides multiple positive feedback loops, encouraging decompression and good doggy manners while adventuring that translate to an emotionally balanced, mentally stimulated and happily exhausted dog!

More than your average dog walker! Hi I'm Hannah, I am an experienced pet carer and have had a life-long passion for dogs. I started working professionally with dogs in April 2021 at Marlee Country Kennels as an animal care attendant ensuring each dog received genuine care and personal attention for their daily individual needs. In this role, I worked directly with rescue dogs from SAFE (Saving Animals From Euthanasia) providing emergency shelter and nurturing support when they need it most. To further my knowledge, I have completed the CPD accredited Certificate III in Dog Phycology, Behavior & Training and the Sarah Whitehead Puppy and Dog Training Programme.
I have worked with dogs across the spectrum of temperament, energy levels, age, size, breed and medical needs. I have also cared for dogs with varying health conditions, chronic illness and those recovering from surgery. I am comfortable with the most fragile chihuahuas to big boofy mastiffs, from dogs who are confident and well-rounded to fearful and overwhelmed pups who need gentle, compassionate care and positive reassurance. My absolute favourite part of working with dogs is fostering a relationship based on mutual respect and trust, to create an inclusive, fun environment where they feel safe, secure and free to be themselves. I believe every dog is an individual and therefore the attention they receive should also be personalised. I do this by completely individualising every adventure to each dog's personal preference, fulfilling their physical and mental stimulation needs by using non-aversive, reward and choice-based handling and training methods to ensure your dog is the healthiest and happiest they can be while in my care.
I strongly oppose all forms of aversive training methods that cause pain, fear, stress or suffering as they endanger the dog's mental and physical health and jeopardise their trust in humans.
